Ossipee Public Safety

Ossipee Public Safety Ossipee, New Hampshire, population 4,211, is the county seat of Carroll County.

All police, fire and rescue dispatching is handled by Carroll County Dispatch, located at the sheriff's department.

Police coverage is provided by Ossipee's full-time police department with assistance from Carroll County Sheriff's Department, NH State Police Troop E and NH Fish and Game.

The town is divided into three fire precincts - Center Ossipee, Ossipee Corner and West Ossipee. All three fire departments are staffed by volunteers.

Town-wide EMS and ambulance service is provided by a contractual agreement with a private provider, Medstar with all three fire precincts assisting at the first responder level.
